1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kingston upon Thames (KT1)
Contract: Fixed-term / Term-time only
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Salary: £93 to £110 per day
Start Date: September 2026

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the life of a child with Special Educational Needs. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to help a pupil access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent and effective 1:1 support for a pupil with identified SEND needs.
Support learning within the classroom and during wider school activities.
Implement strategies and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.
Promote independence, engagement and positive behaviour.
Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
Work collaboratively with school staff, parents and external professionals 
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children, particularly those with SEND.
Demonstrate patience, empathy and resilience.
Be proactive, flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the child.
Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Have a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
