Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Hackney from September 2026.

The Role

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney, East London
School: Secondary School
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Work with students individually and in small groups to improve attainment and confidence.
Provide classroom support across a range of subject areas.
Support students with SEND, SEMH, or those requiring additional learning support.
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEN department to ensure students receive the support they need.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
A passion for supporting young people in their education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
