Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant looking for your next role?

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant in Aylesbury to support primary-aged children with additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties and physical or sensory needs.

This is a hands-on role where you'll help children access learning, build confidence and become more independent. Experience in a special school is useful, but we'd also like to hear from candidates with relevant mainstream, care or disability support experience.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support children individually and in small groups.

Help pupils with communication, emotional regulation and classroom routines.

Support personal care and mobility where required, following individual care plans.

Work alongside teachers and therapists to meet pupils' needs.

Help create a calm, positive learning environment.

We're looking for:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

A patient, reliable approach and confidence supporting a range of needs.

Willingness to help with personal care.

Good communication and the ability to work as part of a team.

Experience with autism, complex needs, manual handling or communication support would be particularly useful.

Pay is £100 per day. An enhanced child workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one, and satisfactory references are required.
