Teaching Assistant

We’re currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in a Special School in North Yorkshire. This is a long term, full time position due to start in September with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate.

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be supporting children and young people aged from 4 to 18 years with autism, learning disabilities, complex medical needs and downs syndrome.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Experience working in a school setting (supporting SEN children is preferred)
• A real passion for education and having a positive impact on children with special educational needs
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to be proactive in the classroom
• Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
