Are you passionate about working with children and making a difference in the classroom? Join Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice and gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Please note: If you have already achieved a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Oasis are happy to consider you for the level 5 Higher Level Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

Working week 

Monday to Friday - Term time only 

08:30 - 3:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

08:30 - 4:30 Wednesday (CPD afternoon) 

Wage 

£8.55 per hour 

Wage rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months if over 19+

Qualification 

Teaching Assistant Level 3 

Duration 16 Months

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Supporting classroom activities and supervising children


• Assisting pupils with their learning and development


• Providing additional help to children who need it most


• Learning classroom behaviour strategies and teaching techniques


• Helping to plan and prepare sessions


• Encouraging pupil independence, inclusion, and engagement in learning


• Supporting children’s emotional, social, and physical well-being

• Strong communication skills


• Willingness to learn and grow professionally

Desirable:

• Previous experience working with children (not essential)


• Confidence in your ability to support learning

Entry Requirements:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grades A*-C / 9-4

Successful applicants will need to complete an Enhanced DBS check
