We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will support classroom activities and play a vital role in enriching the learning experience for our pupils. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and eager to begin a rewarding career in education.

Apprenticeship Overview:

• Salary: £7.55 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds


• Working week: Monday to Friday 8:30am till 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break
  


• Hours: 30 hours per week


• Duration: 18 months


• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification


• Online training supported by our dedicated tutor

What you’ll do at work: 

• Supervising class activities


• Assisting with young people’s learning experience


• Helping students who might need extra support


• Learning classroom-based skills and behaviour techniques


• Planning sessions and think about learning objectives


• Working alongside the teacher to support classroom activities

Specific vacancy requirements:

• Previous experience of working with children desirable, but not essential


• A team player


• Organisational skills


• Attention to detail


• Able to handle situations independently and use initiative


• Good communication skills


• Ability to follow instructions

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification.

Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentice’s needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential full-time employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. 

Pre-employment checks. Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment, the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - 'Matrix Screening'. The company also completes an internal online social media search, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
