Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant – Further Education

Location: Deeside, Flintshire
Pay: £14.00–£16.00 per hour
Contract: Long-term Temporary to Permanent

Ace Academics is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a large, well-established Further Education College based in Deeside.

The college offers a diverse range of academic, vocational and practical courses, providing students with valuable skills, qualifications and pathways into employment or further education.

Key Responsibilities

*

Provide classroom support to students across a range of further education programmes.

*

Work closely with lecturers and teaching staff to support learning activities.

*

Offer one-to-one and small-group assistance to students requiring additional support.

*

Support learners with additional learning needs (ALN), helping them overcome barriers to learning.

*

Encourage student engagement, confidence, independence and positive behaviour.

*

Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support role.

*

Experience supporting students with SEN/ALN would be advantageous.

*

Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

*

A patient, adaptable and supportive approach to working with learners.

*

An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo one.

*

Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration, or willingness to obtain the required registration.
