Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant - Desian Education (Long-Term)

Location: Huyton, Merseyside
Contract Type: Full Academic Year (Full-Time)
Salary: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Huyton for a full academic year. Helping pupils develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and hands-on learning across key stages.

You will work closely with class teachers, subject specialists, and the wider school team to deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the National Curriculum.

• Assist pupils with classroom activities, offering one-to-one or small group support when needed.

• Encourage creativity and independent thinking

• Prepare and maintain teaching materials and equipment for lessons.

• Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and SEN staff as required.

• Support pupils with additional learning needs or EHCPs (if applicable).

• Help manage classroom behaviour and reinforce school policies.

Essential:

• Experience working in a primary school setting (either as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role).

• A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s learning and development.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work as part of a team.

• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent). desiarable but not essential.

• Experience working with pupils with SEN.
