A well‑regarded all‑through school in Tonypandy is seeking committed, enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2026. This welcoming and forward‑thinking school provides education for learners aged 3–16 and is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support, and excellent provision for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners aged 12–16 with a range of ALN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Your work will involve:

ALN Support — Providing 1:1 and small‑group support within both the school’s dedicated learning resource base and mainstream classroom settings.

Classroom Inclusion — Helping pupils access the curriculum, adapt tasks, and develop confidence and independence.

*

Behaviour & Emotional Support — Using positive behaviour strategies to motivate, encourage, and guide learners.

*

Learning Resource Base Work — Assisting with structured interventions, literacy/numeracy boosters, and personalised learning plans.

*

Collaborative Practice — Working closely with teachers, ALNCo, and pastoral staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.

You must be able to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with young people, demonstrating patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping learners thrive.

Daily pay rate: £92 – £100 per day (experience dependent)
