About the Role

Education First is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of mainstream primary schools in Croydon. These flexible opportunities are ideal for candidates looking for ad hoc and daily supply work, allowing you to gain experience across different school settings while making a positive difference to children's learning and development.

We are looking for proactive, adaptable individuals who can confidently support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.

* Providing one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils develop their academic skills.

* Assisting with literacy, numeracy, phonics and other curriculum activities.

* Managing classroom behaviour and encouraging positive learning habits.

* Supporting pupils' social, emotional and educational development.

* For HLTA candidates, delivering lessons and leading classes when required.

* Helping to maintain a safe, organised and stimulating classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA within a primary school.

* Confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.

* Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.

* Flexible, reliable and comfortable adapting to different school environments.

* A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's education.

* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
