Team Leader

Location: Runcorn
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with shifts alternating weekly between 7am – 3pm and 3pm – 11pm
Salary: up to £33,000 depending on experience, plus performance bonus and shift allowances 

Job Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Team Leader to manage a team of Dispensers, ACTs, and Pharmacists within our client's Pharmacy Services. This role focuses on overseeing the daily tasks and activities necessary to ensure the accurate and timely completion of picking, dispensing, prescription processing, and checking activities. The successful candidate will ensure the highest quality standards are consistently met.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform dispensing and checking duties under the supervision of the Head of Pharmacy Services for the supply of medicinal products to homecare patients.
• Manage Dispensers, Accuracy Checking Technicians, and Pharmacists, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency across pre and post-production.
• Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Managers, and Senior Pharmacists to ensure efficient resource utilisation across different dispensing sections.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members and ensure proper documentation, such as return-to-work forms, is completed.
• Promptly manage and respond to email and telephone queries related to prescription processing or clinical governance procedures.

Experience Required:

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Technician or Pharmacist).
• Ideally, managerial experience with a proven track record in implementing business improvements and developing teams.
