As a Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of efforts to empower and support vulnerable individuals experiencing/fleeing situations of domestic violence within the community and promote collaboration between clients and services.
Provide hands on leadership to a team of staff supporting vulnerable people with additional complex needs ranging from addictions, complex mental health, domestic abuse, domestic violence Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate activities to engage with and support individuals experiencing or fleeing domestic violence.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to connect with marginalized communities and provide vital assistance.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including cross authority, to create impactful support programs, building strong community relationships.
Hands on application of leadership to a team of staff operating within a domestic violence support service.
Provide supervision, support and guidance to other staff and volunteers as agreed with Line Manager.
Promote collaboration between service and clients, to develop the reach and representation of the services for each person's needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in social work, human services, or a related field.
Training or certification in trauma-informed care, mental health first aid, or crisis intervention.
First Aid and CPR certification, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
