Location: Hempstead
Salary: £31,000 per annum

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join a growing team delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across residential developments in Hempstead.

This is a hands-on role where you will lead and support a small team, ensuring landscaped areas are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service and maintaining safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and motivate a small grounds maintenance team.
Carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance duties, including:

Grass cutting and mowing
Hedge trimming and pruning
Weeding and planting
Litter picking
Leaf clearance
General upkeep of landscaped areas

Plan and coordinate daily work schedules to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and the office team.
Carry out basic checks and maintenance of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and company policies are followed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year's experience leading a grounds maintenance or landscaping team.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage a small team.
Good knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe working practices.
Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards.
