As a Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of our new Knowsley service. Working alongside the Service Manager, you’ll lead and support a dedicated team of Support Workers while ensuring the highest standards of care, support and rehabilitation.
Because this is a new flagship service, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish the culture, standards and values that will shape the service for years to come.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the day-to-day operations alongside the Service Manager.
Supporting the successful development and launch of our new service.
Promoting independence, choice and positive outcomes for the people we support.
Supervising, motivating and mentoring Support Workers.
Safely administering prescribed medication.
Allocating duties effectively across the team.
Championing person-centred care and building positive relationships with the people we support and their families.
Maintaining accurate, respectful and confidential records.
Promoting safeguarding, dignity and best practice at all times.
Helping create a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about people and wants to make a real difference.
You’ll ideally have:
Previous experience supporting adults with mental health conditions and/or learning disabilities, particularly within an inpatient setting or challenging environment.
Knowledge and experience of working with drug and alcohol addiction would be advantageous.
Previous leadership experience or the ambition and ability to take the next step into a leadership role.
Empathy, resilience and a genuine commitment to supporting people to achieve their goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards one.
