Team Leader / Leading Children's Care Home

Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children's care home to find a Team Leader to join our team, we have two available locations for a Team Leader position, one is in Herne (Kent) and the other is in Ramsgate (Kent).

These children's homes offer a comprehensive residential service for young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour.

Duties:

• To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained
• To support the Manager in all aspects of the home’s operation, whilst maintaining positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home
• To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment to our residents whilst being involved in the planning and organisation of the home

Responsibilities:

• To foster and encourage, wherever appropriate contact between residents and their families
• To maintain good liaison and co-operate with external agencies, eg: social workers, consultant staff and others concerned with the welfare of the individual residents
• To demonstrate both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse residents and staff.

Must hold Level 3 in Residential Childcare

Driving License is strongly favourable

This role works on a variable shift pattern across the 7 days of the week. A fixed pattern is not available.

Pay: £14.75 per hour (40 hours) Sleep In’s paid at £40
