Are you an experienced Team Leader or Supervisor looking to step into a fast-paced production environment? We're working with a well-established manufacturer seeking a hands-on and proactive Team Leader to support operations at their site in Rochester.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the floor, driving performance, and motivating a team. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of production lines, ensuring high standards are maintained across safety, quality, and output.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and supporting a team of operatives on shift
• Overseeing line performance and stepping in where needed
• Managing stock control, start-up checks, and key admin tasks
• Maintaining compliance with health and safety procedures
• Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
• Supporting rota planning, holiday cover, and agency staff bookings
• Delivering training and supporting new starters
• Promoting continuous improvement across quality, performance, and waste reduction

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Awareness of CCP and quality/safety issues
• Sound knowledge of production processes, relevant standards (e.g., BRC, HACCP), and health & safety regulations
• A proactive mindset and the ability to lead from the front
• Confident using Microsoft Office - experience with AXAPTA or similar systems is a bonus

Nice to have:

• Health and Safety certification
• Experience with production control systems such as SCADA
