Team Manager - Social Work Academy

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead the Social Work Academy at Bedford Borough Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social work leader and Practice Educator to join a stable team, supporting the professional development of newly qualified social workers and helping shape the next generation of social work practitioners.

Location: Borough Hall, Bedford, MK42 9A
Pay Rate: £44.17 per hour Umbrella

Your daily responsibilities will include:

Managing and overseeing the Social Work Academy, ensuring effective support and development for newly qualified social workers.
Line managing two Advanced Practitioners, who are responsible for the supervision and management of 10 Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) social workers.
Liaising with the University regarding student placements, training and professional development.
Working closely with students across the borough to support their learning and development.
Providing leadership, guidance and professional support to Advanced Practitioners and the wider Academy team.
Promoting high standards of social work practice and supporting the development of a skilled and confident workforce.
Ensuring that learning, supervision and development arrangements support high-quality social work practice.Essential Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work degree or equivalent qualification.
Current Social Work England (SWE) registration.
Proven experience in a Team Leader, Team Manager or similar leadership role within social work.
Must be an experienced Practice Educator.
Experience supporting, supervising or developing newly qualified social workers and social work students.
Strong leadership, communication and partnership-working skills, including experience liaising with universities and other stakeholders.Benefits of Working with Eden Brown Synergy
