Tech Sales Advisor

Are you a practical problem-solver with a knack for understanding customer needs and translating them into real-world solutions? Could you advise on a manual mechanism with a technical specification?

About the Role

We're looking for a Sales Advisor to join a small, collaborative team of four, taking responsibility for a specialist hardware product line. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that blends technical sales support with digital promotional engagement.

You'll be the go-to expert for your product range, helping both B2B and B2C customers from builders and architects to homeowners and DIYers find the right product solution. You'll also play a key role in promoting the product online, using social media to showcase features, answer questions, and build brand awareness.

What You'll Be Doing

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, and web chat for advice, quotes, and technical support.
• Recommending suitable products based on customer needs and project requirements.
• Managing orders, processing invoices, and resolving any issues or complaints.
• Liaising with production, technical, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Creating and scheduling engaging content for social media to promote your product line to DIY audiences.
• Monitoring and responding to online comments and enquiries to build community and trust.
• Maintaining accurate customer records in the CRM system.

What you can bring to this role

• A practical mindset with the ability to understand technical products and explain them clearly.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Experience in a sales support or customer service role (ideally 1+ year).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) for business use.
• Bonus points for experience with CAD, technical drawings, or a background in construction, joinery, or mechanical manufacturing.

• Starting salary of £28,500 with a clear progression path.
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown.
