Technical Administrator / Junior Paraplanner - Braintree (near Colchester) - £27,000 - £32,000 (DOE)

Hybrid up to 2 days/week after probation

We're looking for a Technical Administrator or Junior Paraplanner to join a friendly, fast-paced wealth management firm near Colchester. You’ll support Advisers with technical tasks, suitability reports, and financial planning solutions—primarily in investments and pensions.

SJP experience is highly desirable, and we’re especially keen to speak with candidates from within the SJP network.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare CFRs, advice sets, and suitability reports
• Build financial planning solutions (new money, drawdown, etc.)
• Perform technical calculations (carry forward, IHT, CGT - preferred)
• Manage LOAs, ensure complete client files, liaise with advisers
• Support with workflow management and external paraplanning cases

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience with SJP
• Paraplanning or technical admin experience in wealth management
• Level 4 Diploma (or working towards it)
• Comfortable with annuity illustrations & ceding checks
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and organisation
• Familiarity with tools like Analytics/Voyant (preferred)
