Technical Assistant

Looking for a Technical Assistant to be based full-time at Sellafield 5 days a week.

This is initially a 12 month contract role inside IR35 at rates between £25 - £28ph.

SC clearance is required for this role.

Candidates can start with BPSS security clearance whilst higher level clearance is being undertaken.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors
Promote a positive, professional view of the company
Adhere to the company's standards and expectations
Communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel
Follow safe working practices for on plant visits
Access and use Client based systems for controlling engineering information (such as DAISY, CMMS, IcePAK, CIMAGE, SAP)
Managing O&M documentation production and tracking databases
Assist with CMMS/MOVEX activities
SL IT Demander and contact including Security Controller
Provide administrative support for other functions such as Risk Assessment, COSHH registers and other
Planning and prompting maintenance services
Supporting system engineers in schedule change proposal process
Support SMF with acquisition and purchasing of spares

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Four GCSEs, BTEC First Certificate or equivalent level 1 qualification
IOSH Working Safely
Previous technical experience in an engineering environment
Competent working with standard IT packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

ESSENTIAL:

Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) as a minimum, Security Check (SC) level preferred
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

DESIRABLE:

Hold current BPSS or SC Clearance
Current P4 pass holder
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
