Overview:
Due to sustained growth and increasing commercial opportunities, we are seeking a Technical Business Development Executive to support and push forwards our Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a commercial mindset and a passion for helping our towns and cities become climate resilient.
The successful candidate will support designers, local authorities, and contractors by providing product and installation guidance to ensure technically sound and successful project outcomes. They will also play a key role in supporting knowledge development across the business by proactively engaging with industry contacts to gather project information and track progress. This involves outbound communication with designers, specifiers, and other stakeholders to build rapport, strengthen relationships, and identify opportunities to support ongoing and future schemes.
Full training and career development will be provided to grow personal construction and design technical knowledge.
This position is based at our purpose-built headquarters in the beautiful countryside of Bodiam, East Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Business Development Team in identifying and nurturing project opportunities
Provide technical product and design support to specifiers and installers.
Track and hit specific MPC targets, looking at successful calls, new projects identified, and projects moved to tender.
Help to identify potential tender opportunities for design and product supply.
Follow up on existing projects to build relationships and gain project timelines
Track and report activities using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Support strategic campaigns and product outreach in collaboration with the Marketing Team
Maintain a strong understanding of construction trends, SuDS, and urban infrastructure best practices
Represent GreenBlue Urban at client meetings, events, and site visits as required
Promote high-quality technical proposals and documentation standards
Assist the Business Development and Design Teams in nurturing ongoing and future schemes
Follow up on completed projects to support designer development and gather feedback for technical improvement
Skills & Experience
Experience in a technical sales or a business development environment
Background in landscape design, urban infrastructure, or SuDS (desirable)
Confident communicator, able to build lasting relationships and support team development
Organised and proactive, with a strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (desirable)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to location)
