Job Description - Technical Claims Specialist - Energy & Property

Here at Arthur, we are excited to be partnered with one of the worlds biggest reinsurance business who is looking to grow and expand their London claims team by bringing on board an Energy & Property Claims Specialist.

Within this role you will be working as part of a small claims adjusting team where you will primarily specialise across the Energy and Property lines of business, however, you will also gain exposure and be involved across other lines of business when and if needed. By working as a Technical Claims Specialist, you will closely collaborate with Senior Claims Adjusters and Managers, to provide an efficient and effective claims service that aligns with company’s claims handling philosophy and customer-focused approach.

Your Responsibilities:

You will work in partnership with Claims Experts to handle a case load principally of Energy and Property claims with minimal supervision, interacting with internal and external stakeholders
You will be responsible for managing claims from initial notification up until settlement within an authority of up to GBP400k
Review and assess reports (including but not limited to loss adjuster reports), legal opinions and claim updates Cultivate and strengthen relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with colleagues within Specialty Insurance, Single Risks, Treaty and in other departments, including Finance, to ensure all information is provided to enable timely payment of claims

What You Need:

Property & Energy claims experience is required for this position
Familiarity and use of claims management systems (internal and external, e.g. ECF and Docosoft)
Good communication both verbally and in writing, with both internal and external stakeholders, including strong report writing skills with the ability to assemble succinct PowerPoint presentations
ACII or similar professional qualification (desirable)
Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and set priorities
