We are recruiting for a Technical Coordinator to join a successful and growing food business based in Herefordshire. The Role
As Technical Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting food safety, quality, legality and customer requirements across the business. Acting as the link between customers, suppliers and internal teams, you will ensure specifications, technical documentation and compliance records are accurately maintained and audit-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Support the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. Conduct internal audits and compliance checks. Assist with customer, certification and regulatory audits. Investigate non-conformances and support corrective actions. Monitor compliance with HACCP, GMP and food safety standards. Act as a technical contact for customer accounts. Manage specifications, technical requests and compliance documentation. Maintain accurate product, raw material and packaging specifications. Support supplier approval and compliance activities. Analyse trends relating to complaints, audits and non-conformances. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across technical processes. Work closely with Production, Procurement, Commercial and NPD teams to support business objectives and product launches.About You
Essential:
Experience within food manufacturing, fresh produce or FMCG. Understanding of food safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety systems. Strong administration and document control skills. Excellent organisational and communication abilities. Good Microsoft Office skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.Desirable:
HACCP Level 3 qualification. Experience working with major UK retailers. Knowledge of BRCGS standards. Specification management and technical database experience. Internal auditing experience.What's on Offer?
