Job Description - Technical Customer Service Advisor

Technical Support Advisor 

Quorum Business Park, Longbenton - NE12 8BU 

Salary: £24,500 annually increasing to £26,500 per annum + performance-based bonus 

Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, shift pattern between 9am – 8pm Monday-Sunday (5 days on 2 days off) 

Holidays: 21 days plus bank holidays increases to 23 days plus bank holidays after 1 years’ service

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Technical Customer Service Advisors to assist our Verisure colleagues in the field. This role will suit a problem solver looking for an exciting new opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Providing Advanced Technical Support: You’ll diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to our alarm security systems, Arlo cameras, and proprietary software. Support is delivered through phone, web chat, and email. 

  • Delivering Outstanding Customer Service: You’ll offer top-notch support to our sales security consultants and field technicians, fostering strong, collaborative relationships with on-site colleagues. 

  • Conducting Alarm Testing & Troubleshooting: You’ll carry out alarm system testing and troubleshoot product faults to ensure optimal performance. There is also the opportunity to perform product and version testing to guarantee reliability and stability before release. 

  • Incident Logging & Data Management: Accurately document all incidents and communications in our database. Keeping information up to date is crucial for identifying recurring faults and testing new solutions.

  • Effective Multitasking Skills: You can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining high service standards and attention to detail. 

  • Fast and Accurate Typing: You’re able to log key details, reasons, and solutions in real-time while engaging with customers. 

  • Technical Savvy: You have a passion for both hardware and software, with the ability to quickly grasp and understand the functions of our bespoke security systems, recognise relationships between errors, and interpret error messages and codes effectively. 

  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: You’re a clear communicator, both written and verbal, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to accurately document and report testing outcomes. 

  • Collaborative Spirit: You’re a team player who actively contributes ideas and expertise to help achieve our goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
