Your journey here is not just about a job; it\u0027s about a shared vision for a brighter, more sustainable future.\n\n \nFor our Fire Product Line global team, we are seeking a Technical Director, Fire \u0026 Intrusion.\n\nThe role is offered in a hybrid setup for our offices in Riom/France and Cwmbran/UK , with up to 25% travel required.\n\n## Key Responsibilities:\n\n * Lead and manage the Fire, Intrusion, and Notification R\u0026D specialist team, including Fire Devices and Systems product architects and regulatory specialists, across all Life Safety locations (Cwmbran, Riom, Longbranch, Sarasota, Mitcheldean, and Doncaster).\n * Define and deploy product\u2011line technology roadmaps aligned with overall product line strategy and business roadmaps.\n * Work closely with Product Management, Business Development, and Commercial teams to ensure strong market and customer alignment.\n * Collaborate with common engineering teams (Life Safety common engineering teams, Eaton Centers of Excellence, and extended engineering teams in Pune and Prague) on product\u2011line\u2011specific requirements, customer feedback, and product enhancements.\n * Review all projects to ensure products are designed to meet customer and market requirements while achieving target cost, budget, and profit objectives.\n * Ensure the sustainment and competitiveness of existing products throughout their lifecycle.\n * Define and drive the VAVE pipeline to maintain cost competitiveness across the product line.\n * Work closely with Project Managers to monitor delivery timelines committed to the market.\n * Drive fair and effective project prioritization to balance resources across Life Safety product lines.\n * Ensure current and future compliance of the Fire, Intrusion, and Notification portfolio with applicable regulations, standards, norms, and legislation.\n * Partner with testing and qualification teams to assure product quality and compliance.\n * Foster a culture of innovation, technical thought leadership, and knowledge sharing.\n * Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and environmental requirements.\n * Own intellectual property protection related to the Fire product line.\n * Provide dotted\u2011line supervision of engineering teams located at the same site.\n * Establish and maintain strong collaboration with other engineering leaders within Life Safety and across Eaton.\n * Regularly review and optimize resource allocation across product\u2011line\u2011specific projects.\n * Encourage consistent application of common product development and ProLaunch processes across all developments.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Engineering\n * Minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience, including multi\u2011site engineering leadership within a global, matrix\u2011based organization\n * Deep domain expertise in Fire Detection and Intrusion systems\n * Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail\n * Proven ability to plan, priorities, and manage multiple workstreams effectively\n * Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work efficiently in cross\u2011functional teams\n * Ability to perform effectively in a fast\u2011paced environment\n\n\n\nWhat we offer: \n\n\n * Competitive compensation and benefits package\n * Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team\n * Flexible working solutions (remote, flexible working hours, compressed week, part time etc.)\n * We make your aspirations matter \u2013 Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possible\n * We make your growth matter - We invest in our employees for the long term \u2013 not just with salary and benefits, but with ongoing learning and development opportunities made available through Eaton University\n * We make your contributions matter - reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability are at the core of our dedication to improving people\u2019s lives and the environment through power management technologies.\n * We make your wellbeing matter \u2013 We put your health and safety first.
