Technical Director - Healthcare FM

We are working in partnership with a leading facilities and engineering services provider delivering hard FM, capital projects, and technical services across one of the UK's most complex and high-profile healthcare estates.

Due to ongoing investment and the scale of technical delivery across the estate, we are looking to engage with an experienced Technical Director to provide strategic leadership across engineering, compliance, and asset performance within a major acute hospital environment.

This is a senior leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and strong technical credibility within live, critical environments.

The Role

Provide technical leadership across all engineering services, compliance, and asset management
Oversee HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems across a multi-site hospital estate
Ensure full compliance with HTMs, statutory regulations, and healthcare standards
Support operational and project delivery teams with technical governance and direction
Act as a senior point of contact for complex technical issues and risk management
Drive continuous improvement across asset performance, lifecycle planning, and infrastructure upgrades
Engage with senior stakeholders across estates, operations, and client leadership
What We're Looking For

Extensive experience in technical leadership within FM or healthcare estates
Strong background in M&E / building services engineering
Deep understanding of HTMs and healthcare compliance environments
Experience operating at senior level across complex, multi-site contracts
Ability to influence both operational delivery and long-term technical strategy
Strong stakeholder engagement across both client and delivery teams
The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take a senior leadership role within a highly complex healthcare estate, working across engineering, compliance, and infrastructure programmes that directly impact patient environments.

You'll be part of a long-term contract with significant investment, providing both strategic direction and technical assurance across a critical environment.
