Technical Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a fantastic Technical Engineer opportunity, with a well established manufacturing business based in Matlock.

This is a great role for someone with a strong background and understanding of metallurgical and mechanical testing, who enjoys coordinating systems and processes and working with clients to support their technical needs.

As the Technical Engineer you will:

• Conduct contract review of incoming orders, and interact with customers to ensure that gaps are communicated and correctly understood.
• Act as departmental reviewer of new and amended customer and regulatory specifications in QMS.
• Develop and maintain testing specifications on ERP system as requested by customers.
• Provide service to Testing Technical teams in quality applications, tools and systems relevant to their testing needs.
• Manage problem reports and coordinate subsequent corrective action requests.
• Use of non-conformance database to analyse trends and contribute to implementation of continuous improvement strategies.
• Assist Senior Quality Engineer in investigating and resolving external non-conformances.
• Support the maintenance and/or establishment of the necessary quality management systems.
• Undertake other quality duties within the activities of the Test House.
• Support Laboratory staff at all levels with queries regarding test specifications and procedures.
• Work closely with the test house production teams to improve lines of communication, giving clarity on current priorities.
• Provide support to Machining, Metallurgical and Mechanical testing areas to assist in increased throughput, specific roles to be identified via skills matrix.
