Job Description - Technical Engineer

Job Title: Technical Engineer / Senior Technical Engineer
Location:

North Midlands
Salary:

£50,000-£59,000 (depending on experience) + 5% annual bonus, and Car allowance £4,800
Benefits:

Car allowance (£400 pm)
Life assurance
Pension enhanced (5%)
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
5% Employer pension contribution.

About the Company:

Our client, a prestigious luxury house builder in the North Midlands, is on the hunt for a dynamic Technical Engineer or Senior Technical Engineer. If you're passionate about managing technical and site infrastructure from planning approval through to final estate completions, this is your chance to join an elite team.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage technical information, including drawings, services, quotations, and technical approvals in line with statutory and planning requirements.
Ensure compliance with legal agreements such as section agreements, deeds of easement, and utility provisions.
Commission and manage external consultants for various site investigations and reports.
Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Building Control Officers, and local authorities.
Actively participate in pre-Start meetings, monthly site meetings, and other project reviews, providing constructive feedback on project performance.
Distribute relevant drawings and technical information to ensure production targets and budgets are met.
Provide ongoing technical support to internal departments and colleagues, ensuring cost-effective and timely remediation works on site.
Input and maintain data management/reporting systems.
Promote best practices within the team to achieve business goals and enhance team performance.
Comply with the company's Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, and perform duties under CDM 2015 as Principal Designer and Designer.
Person Specification:

Qualifications:
HND/Degree in Building Studies, Construction, Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience within the house building industry, particularly in luxury homes.
Key Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of design and specification features related to road and sewer agreements.
Familiarity with utility companies, procedures, and legislative frameworks.
Proficiency in CAD, cost accounting, and data management systems.
Understanding of CDM Regulations, LABC/NHBC requirements, and Codes of Practice.
High IT literacy with experience in AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Leadership and coaching capabilities.
Excellent persuasion, influencing, and interpersonal skills.

Diligent and methodical.
