Location: Commutable to Wakefield (office based with some flexibility for hybrid working)

Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Technical Engineer - Aluminium Glazing & Facades Systems will involve:

• Technical Engineer position dealing with the installation, servicing and maintenance of a range of aluminium systems
• Offering front line technical support to customers, installers and internal staff
• Provide AutoCAD drawings for projects and products
• Carry out wind loading and thermal calculations when required
• Carry out role, keep files and records according to our ISO9000 procedures and good practice
• Production of manual page updates and technical bulletins when required
• Production and delivery of training for in-house colleagues and external stakeholders
• Carry out site visits and production of detailed reports and solutions for second-level support requests
• Organisation and supervision of product manufacture for in-house and external testing

The ideal applicant will be Technical Engineer - Aluminium Glazing & Facades Systems with:

• Must have engineering / design experience within the aluminium systems market sector
• Experience with any of the relevant aluminium system houses
• Must have AutoCAD experience
• Sound understanding of technical calculations (bend, stress, deflection etc)
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Full UK driving license
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent planning, organisation, time management skills
