Technical Engineer – Generator Rental

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer to manage the technical performance, maintenance, and reliability of our generator rental fleet. You will handle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and on-site support to ensure our generators deliver uninterrupted power for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel generators and associated equipment.


• Manage and conduct on-site installations, commissioning, and customer support 


• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.


• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.


• Support the team with technical advice and training.


• Apprentice mentor and support 


• Training of new and current colleagues
  

Requirements:

• Degree/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).


• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with industrial generators (Cummins, Iveco, etc.).


• Strong knowledge of generator engines, alternators, and control systems.


• Experience in power generation preferred.


• Full UK driving licence.
