Job Description - Technical Installation Co-Ordinator

Technical installation Coordinator

Would you like to play a pivotal role in enabling the next generation of semiconductors?

Are you an experienced Installation Coordinator who thrives on delivering complex, large-scale measurement equipment installations to the highest standards? Do you have a passion for organisation, logistics, and ensuring every customer experience is seamless from start to finish? Are you someone who takes ownership and drives projects forward with minimal supervision?

If this sounds like you, read on….

Reward and Benefits:

  • £40,000 to £50,000 (depending on experience)

  • 25 days annual leave, death in service and private health care benefits, personal pension contributions of 4% with salary sacrifice and a generous EMI Share scheme

Our HQ, based in Abingdon, Oxford, UK, is home to a high calibre team of 100 plus people and we are growing fast. We are backed by global financial and industry investors including Applied Ventures, the strategic venture arm of the industry leading equipment company.

A typical week for an Installation Coordinator could look like this:

  • Planning and managing the end-to-end installation process for physically large and technically complex measurement equipment at globally located semiconductor manufacturing sites and research centres

  • Coordinating across internal teams — including engineering, logistics, and service — to ensure installations are delivered on time and to specification

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the installation lifecycle, keeping them informed and managing expectations

  • Proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, site readiness issues, or logistical challenges before they become problems

  • Maintaining accurate records of installation progress, documentation, and customer sign-off

  • Travelling to customer sites when required to oversee and support critical installations

Who we are looking for:

To succeed as an Installation Coordinator, we do need you to have experience of:

  • Coordinating and managing complex equipment installations, ideally within a high-technology, industrial, or semiconductor environment

  • Working directly with customers throughout a project lifecycle, ensuring their satisfaction at every stage

  • Organising and prioritising multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines

  • Collaborating closely with engineering and logistics teams to plan and execute installation programmes

  • Producing clear installation documentation, schedules, and status reports

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment or precision measurement systems

  • Experience working in a fast-growing, scale-up environment

  • Understanding of site preparation requirements for large or complex equipment

  • Exposure to ERP or project management tools

Education / Qualifications:

An engineering, technical, or project management qualification, or a clear equivalent path through relevant industry experience. A formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) would be advantageous but is not essential.

We look for these attributes in our team:

  • Self-management: Able to work independently, setting priorities for own work based upon company goals and targets

  • Teamwork: Engages with other members of the company to bring the best solutions to the problem. Recognises the value that fellow company members bring and supports colleagues when critical to company goals

  • Impact and Influence: Establishes themselves as the trusted point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders throughout the installation process

  • Ownership & Initiative: Reacts and addresses both short- and medium-term issues and proactively takes action to solve them

  • Results Orientation: Maintains focus on the customer and company goal, makes timely decisions, and drives installations through to successful completion
