Technical Lead

They've been expanding their engineering team and are now looking for a Technical Lead to guide development efforts while maintaining their high standards of code quality. Your new role

As the Tech Lead, you'll be balancing hands-on development with technical leadership responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical direction for the development of new features for their REST API, ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Leading the technical implementation of new features for their v2 dashboard
• Setting the standard for clean, maintainable code and comprehensive automated testing
• Conducting thorough code reviews and guiding the team in maintaining high code quality
• Taking a leadership role in agile ceremonies and technical planning
• Mentoring and developing the technical skills of the engineering team
• Working with the IT Director to shape the platform's technical roadmap

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience building and maintaining scalable APIs using PHP with Laravel
• Strong expertise in developing Single Page Applications (Svelte experience is highly desirable)
• Solid experience with Tailwind CSS in production environments
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing comprehensive testing strategies (Unit, Integration, and E2E)
• Advanced version control skills, including managing complex branching strategies and resolving conflicts
• Experience leading technical decisions and guiding other developers
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

These would be advantageous but not essential:

• Experience with Docker containerised development environments
• Knowledge of C# and .NET frameworks
• Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure
