Location: Northamptonshire - Hybrid
£45,000 - £50,000 D.O.E

We're looking for a passionate Technical Manager who thrives on quality, collaboration, and compliance-someone who knows how to connect the dots facross the supply chain!

In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with suppliers, customers, commercial and procurement teams to drive standards, ensure food safety, and deliver retailer confidence. You'll be the go-to expert on all things technical, leading from the front in a role where no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
* Champion and maintain site and supplier compliance, leading audits and ensuring readiness for BRC and customer-specific standards.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure raw material integrity, full traceability, and continuous improvement in technical performance.
* Act as the technical face of the business for UK retailers, managing specifications, due diligence, and customer KPIs with clarity and confidence.
* Lead the development and management of robust food safety systems, ensuring legal compliance, allergen control, and HACCP best practice at every level.
* Collaborate daily with commercial and procurement teams to ensure customer expectations are technically achievable and commercially aligned.
* Conduct proactive risk assessments on pesticide residues, microbiological hazards, and food fraud, ensuring swift and effective mitigation strategies.
* Own technical continuous improvement projects-from process validation to shelf-life trials-and drive root cause analysis of any non-conformances.
* Keep stakeholders informed of regulatory changes and retailer requirements, while championing technical innovation across the business.

What you'll need:
* Experience in a technical role within the food or fresh industry is required
* Own transport
