Technical Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Bedfordshire (with regular travel across local sites)
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum
Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract

We’re working with a well-established, international manufacturing business seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead technical compliance and quality assurance across their UK operations.

This senior role is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong food safety, compliance, and audit experience, looking to join a progressive organisation that values continuous improvement and high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and promote a strong culture of quality, food safety, and compliance across multiple sites
• Maintain key accreditations and ensure sites remain audit-ready for customer, third-party, and regulatory audits
• Manage customer requirements, technical documentation, and compliance with industry standards
• Oversee technical risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and develop technical teams, promoting consistency, collaboration, and professional growth
• Ensure business processes, policies, and quality systems are maintained and compliant with customer and legal requirements

About You:

• Proven leadership experience in a senior technical or quality role within manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, compliance frameworks, and risk management (BRCGS, HACCP, SQMS)
• Successful track record of leading external audits and regulatory inspections
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative, proactive approach
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Lead Auditor qualification preferred
• Ability to travel regularly across sites in Bedfordshire and the surrounding area
