We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Manager to join our team and lead the technical department in maintaining our commitment to product quality and compliance.

Role Overview

As the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of product quality, food safety, and compliance within our operations. You will lead a team of technical professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure our products adhere to both internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role is essential to ensuring we consistently deliver exceptional products to our customers while maintaining the integrity and reputation of the Albert Bartlett brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Technical team to ensure compliance with food safety standards, quality systems, and legal regulations.
  • Develop and implement robust quality assurance and control programs to maintain high product standards.
  • Oversee product specifications and ensure they meet customer, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Manage internal audits and inspections, preparing the team for external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, processes, and food safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive product innovation.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality management practices and food safety regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a technical or quality management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRCGS) and quality management systems.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a technical team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and report writing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and industry best practices.
