Technical NOC L3 Engineer

Our client, a leading multinational information technology services and consulting company is recruiting for a Technical NOC L3 Engineer to join their business in the United Kingdom.

Job Description :

• Technical NOC (L3 level) Engineer role, responsible for supporting the Network Infrastructure and associated DC services. This includes operational and administrative tasks under an ITIL framework to deliver support for two Data Centre’s.  The role is to deliver Network Service Requests, Incident resolution, and Change execution for the Data Centre’s network environments.

Essential Requirement and Responsibilities:

• Security Cleared, UK National only.

• Candidates must be ready to work in shift rotation across a 24X7 support model.

• We need someone who can competently support the following technologies as a minimum as L3,(resolving incident, configure, upgrade, security etc)  and have L3 level knowledge (design level).

• CISCO Firepower and FortiGate Firewalls with IPS/IDS

• CISCO Catalyst switches

• Fortinet RAS VPN with MFA

• Should have clear concepts on OSPF/BGP, different type of resiliency configuration.

• Strong Network Data and Security knowledge.

• Strong knowledge of configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Prior experience of NoC /Incident Handling and supporting Network technologies such as routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies that underpin multiple data centres.

• Experience working with alerting and monitoring tools such as Manage Engine OPS manager, CISCO DNA -C, Prime, Nagios etc.

• Experience working with any ITSM tool such as Service Now.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Role includes P1 Operational on -call support, subject to scheduling.

• Document and control Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s) for IT processes

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with Packet Analysis.

• SoC Experience and some understanding of WAF and Firewall logs etc.

• Demonstrate technical understanding of DC Architecture, Infrastructure, and service management.

• Customer first delivery. Resolve issues with a desire to maintain service uptime & performance.

• Technically provide support to the Cyber Security team.

• Follow asset management processes in the region and improve CMDB accuracy.
