Technical Procurement Manager – Major UK Energy Infrastructure Project

* Location: Near Warrington / Hybrid working available

* Employment: Permanent | Contractors will also be considered

* Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + benefits

Ceto Talent is recruiting a Technical Procurement Manager to support a major gas infrastructure upgrade project forming part of a critical UK energy infrastructure upgrade.

We are working with the Principal Designer and delivery partner on the project, which is currently in the design and procurement phase and is expected to move into construction during 2027.

This is a technically focused procurement role, working closely with engineering, project and supply chain teams to manage the procurement of major mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage procurement of major engineered equipment and mechanical packages

* Procure equipment including compressors, valves, generators, engines and associated systems

* Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and project requirements

* Manage technical and commercial supplier evaluations

* Develop and manage procurement schedules aligned with project delivery

* Lead supplier engagement, negotiation and contract award

* Support wider project supply chain and procurement strategy

Experience Required

* Strong technical procurement experience within gas, oil & gas, energy, EPC or major infrastructure with similar components.

* Experience procuring mechanical equipment and engineered packages

* Good understanding of technical specifications and engineering documentation

* Experience working closely with engineering and project teams

* Gas transmission, compressor station or rotating equipment experience would be highly advantageous
