Our forecasts are used by 80% of the top 50 fashion brands and seven of the top 10 CPG companies. IWSR, the global authority on beverage alcohol data and intelligence, is part of the WGSN group.

£80,000 - £100,000 a year

About the Role

Our data team is bringing social media signals into WGSN's trend intelligence. TikTok is already live. Over the next year we're expanding into new verticals, including food and drink, events and culture and interiors, and adding new platforms, starting with Reddit and Instagram. Each platform tells us something different about what consumers care about.

Most of the work to launch this sits across our data scientists, data engineers, data discovery and analytics teams. As our Technical Programme Manager, you'll own the programme end to end. You'll build the plan, link the teams together and make sure everyone knows what they own and when. You'll report to our Group Chief Data Officer and have plenty of autonomy.

Beyond this launch, we're rebuilding our data platform over the next 12 to 18 months, and the role is set to grow into owning how work moves from data discovery through to production.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end programme plan, from new data sources through to live dashboards

  • Map tasks, dependencies and effort across the data team so the impact of any change is clear

  • Run steering committees, working groups, RAID logs, status reporting and change control

  • Work with product owners to bring a waterfall launch plan together with agile feature releases

  • Make accountability clear, flag risks early and come with options

  • Manage handover into business as usual with our data operations team

  • Help raise programme and product maturity across the data team

What We're Looking For

  • A track record of running technical programmes across several teams and landing launches on time

  • Experience running data programmes, from ingestion and pipelines through to production

  • Clear, direct communication that brings people with you, including senior leadership

  • Experience in an organisation with mature data processes

  • Comfortable working waterfall and agile, with a product mindset

Nice to Have

  • Experience with commercial data products or data as a service

  • Jira, Confluence and Smartsheet

  • PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Prosci or Lean/Six Sigma

Experience

5+ years in technical or data programme management. You don't need to code, but you do need to understand how data systems fit together and where the work really sits.

Location & Ways of Working

Based in our London office.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
