Technical Sales Engineer

My client is a company within the fluid power sector renowned across the market due to their product quality, service levels and extensive knowledge of the industry. Due to a fantastic period of growth, they are looking to add an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their operations team. My client is a distributor of high-quality products from leading brands such as Parker and Hydro Leduc selling in various markets including Transport, Mobile and Industrial. This role is for a driven technical sales professional who has strong hydraulic knowledge and a drive to provide first class customer service.

Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Wakefield

Package: Basic £38,000 - £42,000, bonus, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and pension scheme.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Develop and build relationships with clients.
• Provide technical support to clients’ enquiries.
• Follow up on sales leads.
• Produce and manage client quotations.
• Offer exceptional customer service.

• Strong organisational skills.
• Flexible approach of day-to-day requirements.
• Able to work on your own initiative and provide support in team projects.
• Strong hydraulic component and systems knowledge.
• An understanding of Hydraulics / Fluid Power.
• Focused and driven to be successful.
• An ability to work closely with clients and colleagues of various levels.
• Good communications skills both verbally and written.
• Knowledge of truck electrification would be advantageous.
