Technical Sales Engineer

Reading (UK travel required)

Monday – Friday

My client are a leading provider of precision joining technologies, specializing in riveting, pressing, and screwdriving systems for a wide range of manufacturing industries and are currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team with excellent long-term growth with an ideal 5 year plan to move into a General Manager role.

As the Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible for targeting customers for sales, carry out machine trials to select the correct machine for the application as well as prepare a detailed quotation and present this to the customer.

Key Roles & Responsibilities as Technical Sales Engineer:

Technical support of General Manager of BalTec (UK), reporting directly to him
Targeting customers for sales.
Carry out machine trials to select the correct machine for the application
Discuss the machine trials with the customer
Prepare a detailed quotation and present this to the customer
Be involved in the machine acceptance trials with the customer
Follow up on any after sales requirements

Skills/Knowledge required as a Technical Sales Engineer

Personality who enjoys technology with strong service, hands-on attitude.
Have been involved in field sales on a technical level
A clean driving licence
Be willing to stay away from home if required
Have experience in Microsoft office packages
Be able to work as part of a small team
