Technical Sales Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring the seamless operation of the Sales Department.

• Develop and maintain contacts with existing and potential customers to promote the Company’s products and services.
• Organise and plan personal visits to identify sales opportunities, making technical presentations and explanations to agents and potential customers as necessary.
• Negotiate sales contracts ensuring payment terms and predicted profit margins align with the Company’s policies, unless otherwise agreed by the Technical Sales Manager.
• Liaise with various departments including commercial, projects, drawing office, and workshops to ensure proper transfer of information on new orders.
• Collaborate with the Sales Office Coordinator and other sales staff to ensure continuity of operations in the Sales Department during absences.
• Work with the Sales Office Coordinator to develop and maintain appropriate customer and sales records.
• Assist the Technical Sales Manager in developing and updating the company’s promotional literature, website, and exhibition artwork as required.
• Identify opportunities for new products or product development and coordinate with relevant departments for implementation.

• Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to plan and organise personal sales strategies.
• Proficiency in maintaining sales and customer records.
• Willingness to travel and attend exhibitions or conferences as required.
