Are you a technically minded engineering professional who enjoys building customer relationships and turning opportunities into business?
Do you understand manufacturing, machining and engineering processes and enjoy being involved from initial enquiry through to quotation, order placement and project delivery?
Our client is a successful and growing precision engineering manufacturer with ambitious plans for the future. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer who can play a key role in developing new business opportunities and supporting existing customers.
The business has established itself as a trusted supplier of precision engineered components and is now embarking on an exciting growth journey, with plans to further expand its customer base and develop opportunities within the Nuclear and Defence sectors. This role will be instrumental in helping achieve those ambitions.
This is a genuinely varied position that goes far beyond traditional sales. You'll be involved in identifying and developing opportunities, reviewing customer drawings and specifications, preparing quotations, sourcing materials and working closely with production teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
The successful candidate will become a trusted point of contact for customers, helping them find the right manufacturing solution whilst ensuring commercial and technical requirements are met. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the company's future growth strategy, helping identify and develop opportunities within new and highly regulated markets.
We're looking for someone who understands engineering and manufacturing environments and can confidently communicate with engineers, buyers, production teams and decision-makers. You may currently be working as a Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Manager, Estimator, Applications Engineer or Business Development Manager within a manufacturing environment.
Experience within precision engineering, CNC machining, fasteners, machined components, tooling, aerospace, automotive, defence or other high-integrity manufacturing sectors would be highly advantageous.
Most importantly, we're looking for somebody who can combine technical understanding with strong commercial awareness, build long-term customer relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
In return, you'll join a successful and expanding organisation that offers genuine career development, a supportive team environment and the opportunity to play an influential role in its future success.
The package includes a competitive salary, bonus opportunity, private healthcare, pension scheme, 28 days holiday plus statutory holidays, company events and long-term career progression.
If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact and become part of an ambitious manufacturing business with exciting plans for future growth, we'd love to hear from you.
