Technical Support Analyst, 3rd Line Infrastructure
Location: Norfolk Rate: £226 per day IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Working Pattern: 5 days per week on site
Role Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Support Analyst to provide 3rd Line technical support across infrastructure, identity and access management services.
The successful candidate will support a large Microsoft environment, resolve complex technical issues and help strengthen the organisation’s security posture through Microsoft Entra ID, Multi Factor Authentication, Conditional Access and wider security compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide 3rd Line support across infrastructure and enterprise systems
• Implement and support Multi Factor Authentication using Microsoft Entra ID
• Configure and manage Entra ID policies, Conditional Access and authentication methods
• Support identity and access management services
• Troubleshoot complex authentication, access and identity related issues
• Work with infrastructure, application and cybersecurity teams to onboard users and applications to MFA
• Support vulnerability remediation and security hardening activities
• Assist with DSPT compliance by implementing security controls and providing technical evidence
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
• Monitor infrastructure performance, alerts and system capacity
• Support patching, upgrades and configuration changes
• Produce technical documentation, implementation guides and operational support procedures
• Provide technical advice and support to less experienced colleagues
• Ensure incidents and service requests are logged, prioritised and resolved within agreed service levels
Essential Experience
• Strong 3rd Line infrastructure support experience
• Microsoft Entra ID or Azure Active Directory
• Multi Factor Authentication
• Conditional Access
• Identity and Access Management
• Windows Server
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Microsoft 365
• Experience troubleshooting complex authentication and access issues
• Security hardening and vulnerability remediation
• Experience working within large enterprise environments
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Experience
• DSPT compliance
• NHS or healthcare experience
• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Defender
• PowerShell
• Citrix
• VMware or Hyper V
• Networking, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• ITIL Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
