The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Technical Support & Field Engineer to support the deployment, maintenance and servicing of our robotics and EPoS solutions nationwide. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a technical background, a proactive attitude and a strong interest in robotics or automation.
Based in Newcastle, you'll install systems, respond to support requests, and attend customer call-outs. You’ll also help prepare robots for deployment and relay technical insights to our engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Install and commission robotic and EPoS systems at customer sites
Diagnose and resolve faults both remotely and on-site
Perform routine servicing, firmware updates and minor hardware repairs
Assemble, test and configure robots at our facility before deployment
Record service visits and resolutions accurately for internal tracking
Support onboarding of new clients and act as a technical contact during post-installation
Attend urgent call-outs when required, with occasional travel across the UK
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Full UK driving licence with confidence to travel for site work
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical or robotic systems
Practical experience using tools and diagnostic equipment
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
Comfortable using IT tools including remote support software and diagnostics
Right to work in the UK
Desirable
Field service, robotics or IT support experience
Familiarity with automation hardware or PoS systems
Basic networking understanding (e.g. routers, IP, port forwarding)
Interest in robotics, mechatronics or embedded systems
Eagerness to develop into a mid-level engineering role
