Job Description - Technical Support Lead

Looking for a new challenge and ready to accelerate IT excellence?

We are looking for an organised and experienced Technical Support Lead to join our IT team here at Gekko group. If you're a hands-on tech whizz with an enthusiasm for problem-solving and mentorship, and you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this could be your chance to shine.

Your Role:

  • Provide high quality 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line technical support across various channels including our proprietary technologies.
  • Lead and mentor an IT Administrator, including conducting reviews, and supporting their professional development.
  • Manage and track all IT assets for our office and field-based teams
  • Set up all equipment and systems for new starters, and deliver engaging IT inductions and tailored technical training as needed
  • Maintain and create clear and precise IT documentation and support processes
  • Collaborate with teams across the business on projects and assist with ad-hoc technical tasks

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in providing comprehensive IT support, diagnosing and resolving diverse hardware and software issues, with a flexible approach to ad hoc support outside of regular hours.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to providing solutions.
  • Solid experience in administering Windows OSs, Office 365, and Google Workspace, along with familiarity with VPN configuration and support, VOIP systems, and antivirus software management. Any exposure to SQL/database and web maintenance (including SSL and domains) is desirable.
  • Understanding of core network services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS) and a security-conscious mindset.
  • Organisational skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn and team leading experience are essential.
