Technical Support Operator

Location: Home based (with UK Travel)

Contract: Full time, permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are now looking for a Technical Support Operator to join our team. The prime responsibility of this role will be the optimisation and installation of John Deere Forestry equipment and the supply of technical support and training to customers in the UK.

• Do you have proven experience in demonstrating skilful levels of operation of both harvesting and forwarding equipment?
• Have a good understanding of the factors that improve performance and utilisation of the equipment?
• Do you have a good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems?

Responsibilities include:

• Customer installation & training of new and used John Deere forestry products, both harvesters and forwarders
• Performance monitoring and optimisation of harvester and forwarder product lines
• Provide technical support to both external and internal customer base
• Operator coaching & delivery of training
• Marketing and demonstrations of John Deere products

You will have:

• Flexibility for extensive UK wide travel
• Exceptional operational skills, ideally on both John Deere harvesters and forwarders
• A technical aptitude on John Deere equipment and control systems
• Demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and focus
• Be conversant with modern IT systems
• Work on own initiative whilst adding to the team dynamic at John Deere
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
