About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer with extensive experience in the software technology industry, preferably within the B2B SAAS product space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record writing product documentation; what a product / feature is and how it works including technical implementation guidance and troubleshooting steps. We are looking to establish better resources for our employees (and ultimately our customers) to drive efficiencies in onboarding, customer support and product development. 

Your responsibilities:

The Project: 

The primary focus of this role is to establish clear, easily navigable, and understandable internal product documentation. Reporting to the Product Operations lead, the Technical Writer will be responsible for proposing a structure and format for the documentation, designing processes for documentation creation and maintenance, auditing and consolidating existing documentation, and writing new documentation to fill gaps.

• Discovery (Estimated 2 weeks): Review existing content audit, propose project approach, and required timeline.

• Framework Defined: Define internal product documentation framework.

• Processes Defined: Design processes for documentation creation and maintenance.

• Documentation: Write missing documentation, update and consolidate existing documentation, and gain sign-off from subject matter experts.

• Launch: Support with the internal launch and training of the organisation on the new documentation framework, processes, and resources.

About you:

We think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in this role:

• Experience as a senior technical writer within Software Technology companies, ideally in the B2B SAAS product space.

• Content strategy expertise, including designing frameworks and processes for product documentation and maintenance.

• Proven project management experience, working with stakeholders of all levels.

• Experience with enterprise wiki software such as Confluence and Notion.

• Experience working with help centre software such as ZenDesk Help Centre would be nice to have.

• Preferably, experience leveraging AI technology to scale documentation efforts.
