Tekla Detailer

Your new company:
An established and growing construction products manufacturer is seeking a Technical Detailer to join its engineering team in Cookstown. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tekla Detailer to work on bespoke structural and masonry support solutions for a wide range of construction projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with structural engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver accurate fabrication drawings and technical solutions.

Your new role:
As a Technical Detailer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures, ensuring designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements. You will work alongside engineering and project teams to identify potential issues early, resolve technical queries, and support projects from design through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures.
Interpret engineering drawings, design information, and project specifications.
Liaise with engineers, project managers, and customers to resolve technical queries.
Identify design discrepancies and installation issues before manufacture.
Revise and update drawings throughout project lifecycles.
Maintain accurate document control and drawing issue records.
Ensure all work is completed to agreed quality standards and project deadlines
What you'll need to succeed:

Proven experience in structural steel detailing using Tekla Structures.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
Understanding of construction industry processes and detailing practices.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges
