Telephone/Debt Collector

Job Title: Telephone/Debt Collector,
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities
You will be responsible for both making and receiving telephone calls to and from businesses and individuals in order to recover outstanding debts.
Key duties include:

• 
  Handling challenging conversations with customers in a sensitive, professional, and empathetic manner over the phone.
• 
  Accurately recording all conversations and any payment arrangements in the customer database.
• 
  Adhering to established processes and guidelines in relation to debt collection.
• 
  Working within an open-plan contact centre environment, aiming to meet both personal and team targets.
• 
  Ensuring accurate entry of customer payment details into internal systems, with a strong emphasis on getting it right first time.

• CRA Consulting is pleased to be partnering with a dynamic and growing organisation that is looking to expand its team at offices located just outside Sheffield city centre.
• Part of a wider group employing over 500 staff nationwide, this company specialises in debt recovery services across the UK. They work in partnership with leading retail, banking, and commercial organisations to help recover overdue debts and provide tailored repayment solutions - supporting individuals in managing and clearing their debt.
• This is a full-time role involving shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday. Your primary responsibility will be speaking with customers by telephone to negotiate the repayment of outstanding debts.
