Catering Assistant – Temporary Ongoing

Location: Hay-on-Wye, Powys, Wales
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm
Pay: £13 per hour
Contract: Temporary, ongoing

Talented People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join a busy catering team based in Hay-on-Wye on an ongoing temporary basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous catering or food service experience who enjoys working in a busy environment, providing excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day running of a catering operation.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and service of food to customers.

*

Serving food and beverages in a friendly and professional manner.

*

Replenishing vending machines and ensuring products are stocked and presented correctly.

*

Operating the till, handling cash and processing customer payments.

*

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.

*

Assisting with general catering duties and keeping food service areas clean and organised.

*

Providing excellent customer service throughout the day.

What We're Looking For

*

Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate – Essential.

*

Previous experience working in catering, hospitality or food service.

*

Good knowledge of food hygiene, food handling and food safety practices.

*

Confident handling cash and operating tills.

*

Good food knowledge and an understanding of food service.

*

Friendly, approachable and customer-focused attitude.

*

Reliable, organised and happy to support the wider catering team.

*

Available to work Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm.
